Edifié par Joseph Etienne et Richard-François Bonfin en 1771-1783. Après la Révolution, le Palais Rohan devient préfecture de la Gironde en 1800; il est le siège de l'Hôtel de ville depuis 1837. A voir : Salon du XVIIIe siècle avec boiseries de Barthélemy Cabirol; salle à manger décorée de peintures de Pierre Lacour; salle du Conseil municipal, bel exemple de l'architecture du Second Empire.
Built by Joseph Étienne and Richard-François Bonfin in 1771-1783. After the French Revolution, the Rohan Palace becomes the department head quarters in 1800 and it is the City hall since 1837. To see: Halle of the 18th century with Barthélemy Cabirol's woodwork; dining room decorated with Pierre Lacour's paintings; town council chamber, beautiful example of the Second Empire architecture.
